Résumé
Les différentes manières de traduire l’expression bomoto suggèrent à la réflexion philosophico-morale que l’humain ne se réduit pas aux proprié tés biologiques de cette espèce historique qu’on appelle l’homo sapiens. L’être humain, c’est celui qui s’humanise en se donnant des manières propres d’agir et de se conduire différemment de l’animal. Ces manières se résument dans la construction et l’idéalisation des valeurs et des normes morales sans lesquelles l’intercompréhension entre les hommes et les peuples ne serait pas possible, encore moins la dialectique de la globalisation des cultures, bien que ce soit un processus toujours inachevé.

Summary
The different ways of translating the expression bomoto suggest to the philosophical-moral reflection that the human being is not reduced to the biological properties of this historical species called homo sapiens. The human being is the one who humanizes himself by giving himself ways to act and to behave differently from the animal. These ways are summarized in the construction and idealization of values and moral norms without which the inter-understanding between men and peoples would not be possible, even less the dialectic of the globalization of the cultures, although it is an always unfinished process.
